Cut from Finer Cloth: State of Disarray - A Blog by Kate Burgess of Shambala Festival

Team Disarray are over the rainbow today! We are absolutely buzzing to have been blessed with the opportunity to collaborate with our favourite festival on the planet Shambala

Captain Disarray aka: Tabitha Green, has been busy chatting with Shambala's brilliant blogger Kate Burgess, to talk textiles, supply chains and truly ethical fashion. Buckle in for top tips for joining the Fashion revolution, Shambala trader shout outs, discount codes and more! ⠀

''From source to surplus, Tabitha’s approach to fabric is dynamic. State of Disarray use a combination of direct-with-maker sourcing and using designer surplus. What’s more they pay-it-forward, donating off-cuts from their own production to independent makers and pre-schools in Hanoi.

As the founder of an indie fashion brand, Tabitha believes she has the responsibility to educate about textile production. Talking to her it’s clear she is excited about the new options “springing up,” from “sustainable super fibres” to recycled fabrics made from plastic pollution. Taking cue from Shambala’s own 25k25 campaign, for every £3.00 spent on State of Disarray’s website trees are planted in a mangrove forest in Madagascar to help offset their carbon footprint; 1.5k trees planted already'' - Kate Burgess, Shambala.

Within the blog, you will find a bonus discount code to thank you for your continued efforts to 'shop small' as we rally together to fight fast-fashion and stand against its global exploitation of humans and the environment.

''Remember, what we wear says a lot! Let’s start clothing ourselves with care – for people and planet'' - Kate Burgess, Shambala Festival.
